Flash Level 1 is designed to teach a wide spectrum of people how to design and deliver cross-platform, low-bandwidth Flash productions that can include animations, interactivity, special effects, sound and video for presentations delivered on the internet or by stand-alone player (not on the internet). It is hands-on, task-based course, with students learning by doing. Along with covering the essentials of Flash (see our "Objectives" and "Course Outline" for more information), the course focuses on best practices and design, stressing the importance of usability, accessibility, optimization, and performance. It also includes an introduction to Actionscript. This is our most popular class.Other classes to consider after this class: Flash Level 2 Actionscript; Flash Video Development. Here's the bsic technique we use to teach this class: first we describe a new concept, then we demonstrate the new concept, then students work with the new concept in an easy, fun, informal way, questions are asked and answered; then students and instructor apply the new concpet to a real-world task/exercise. More questions, more answers. Review and Summary. Read some of our testimonials for lpeople who have taken this class: http://www.multigroup.com/testimonials.html This class provides attendees with the knowledge and hands-on practice they need to create dynamically generated event-driven animation and interactive productions with Flash. The course teaches fundamental programming techniques. It begins by introducing core concepts including instance names, variables, functions, properties, and methods; then proceeds through conditions, loops, event handling, and animating with ActionScript. Special emphasis is also placed on using the concepts introduced to various real-world tasks including elearning, simulations and rich internet applications. in addition to the workbook with CD, everyone attending the class will get additional example files illustrating a variety of Flash concepts. This class introduces Flash users to creating interactive Flash files by programming with ActionScript, including using ActionScript to animate, process data, play sounds, load in dynamic content, and manipulate components and more with Actionscript. This class is for anyone who wants to understand and master Actionscript for whatever interactive Flash production they hope create. Flash video files (.flv files) are the hottest video format on the web today. Used by You Tube and countless other sites, Flash video has the distinct advantage of working with the Flash Player, the plug-in technology that is widespread across the internet. Before Flash video, people coming to a site using video would be confronted with a bewildering choice of options: “Do you want to view the video using Widows Media Play”; “Do you want to view the video using RealPlayer;” “Do you want to view the video using QuickTime”…most of the time people would throw up their hands and walk away.Because Flash video works with the Flash Player, which most people already have, deploying a Flash video file is seamless and easy. Just click the play button and the video plays, no need to ask confusing questions. This class provides students the knowledge and hands-on practice they need to produce and deliver high-quality Flash Video over the internet using Flash. Topics include developing a rich media player using the Flash pre-built components as well as creating a custom player using ActionScript; using high-quality encoding techniques, including the new Flash Video codec enabling the delivery of higher quality video over lower bandwidth connections; creating live video; and exporting the new alpha-channeling and video color filters. This course will focus on delivering the best experience possible with Flash Video, exploring bandwidth scaling, progressive downloading, and streaming with the Flash Media Server and Flash Video Streaming Services. |
